HOW MUCH DOES BIGFOOT WEIGH?

Depending on what part of the world sightings occur, most Sasquatch are reported at 6 to 10 feet tall, and some even taller. Footprints are reportedly so deep that even 300lb men are unable to reproduce this depth.

Estimating body weight is both an art and a science. Two individuals of the same height can vary greatly in weight based on their body composition. The best we can do is find someone of similar athletic build and then scale up from there. However, one must recognize that weight increases exponentially with height.

Mathematical formulas exist for making such predictions based on a baseline height and weight.

For my purposes, I've chosen the legendary Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as a baseline. He's a massive, muscular, and athletic individual... about as close to sasquatch proportions as I can think of in a human being. His heaviest reported body weight was 451 lbs at a height of 6'9".

Based on Hafþór's stats, what's your best guess as to how much a theoretical 10-foot-tall Sasquatch might weigh?

Post your guess below, and 5 days from now I'll post my best guess along with the reasoning and mathematical formulas used to achieve it.

HOW MUCH COULD A 10 FOOT TALL BIGFOOT WEIGH?

  • 500-1000 lbs

  • 1001 - 1500 lbs

  • 1501 - 2000 lbs

  • 2001 ~ 2500 lbs
